DAY 01: AIRPORT – NEGOMBO
Welcome to Sri Lanka when you arrive at the Bandaranaike International Airport, a representative of Bernard Tours will meet and greet you and travel to Negombo.
Negombo is located approximately 37 km north of the commercial capital of Colombo in Sri Lanka. It is located at the mouth of the Negombo lagoon. The major beach resort in the West Coast is Negombo. The wide sandy beaches and the safe sea are the main attractions of Negombo and it is perfectly located within 7 km from the Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake.

DAY 02: NEGOMBO

Explore the fishing town of Negombo where old and modern fishing methods are still in use
In the evening do a city tour of Negombo and go for a boat ride on the Dutch Canal.

DAY 03: NEGOMBO – KANDY

En-route visit Pinnawala Elephant orphanage (Optional)
The Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is situated NorthWest of the town of Kegalle, halfway between the present capital Colombo and the ancient royal residence Kandy in the hills of central Sri Lanka. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka wildlife department on a 25-acre coconut property near the Maha Oya River. The orphanage was originally founded in order to afford care and protection to the many orphaned Elephants found in the jungle.
Lunch at tourist restaurant. En route Visit a spice garden in Matale to see many different types of spices Sri Lanka is famous for. Just 25 km from the hill capital of Kandy, the Matale spice gardens are among the best on the island. You will be introduced to different spices and shown how some of these spices are grown and processed. In the evening visit witness the Cultural Dance Performance.

Temple of the Tooth Relic (Optional)
The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is a world-renowned place of worship, where the left Canine tooth of Gautama Buddha is enshrined. The temple which is venerated by thousands of local & foreign devotees and tourists daily was named as a world heritage by UNESCO in 1988. The temple which carries a lot of value to Buddhists all over the world also has immense cultural value. The architecture is of unique Kandyan architectural style with a combination of the unique style used to build “Dalada Mandira” the shrines which housed the Sacred Tooth Relic previously in other kingdoms.

The Kandy Cultural Dance Show is a stimulating Sri Lankan Arts, Dance & Cultural Heritage Show that is a must see for any visitor who visits the historic city of Kandy. These Dances are performed at local ceremonies and rituals using drums and costumes that are unique to each area..

DAY 04: KANDY – PERADENIYA – KANDY

Peradeniya Gardens is a spacious 147 acre of natural extravaganza consisting of more than 4000 species ofplants, and 10,000 varied kinds of trees, incidentally serves as the largest garden of Sri Lanka.The unique and rarest collection in these gardens is the Giant Bamboo of Burma which grows 12 inches each day to a height of 40 meters. Apart from this other amazing collections include Javan fig tree, Cannonball tree, Double Coconut Palm and about 200 other varieties of palm trees and versatile collection of flora. DAY 05: KANDY – ELLA
Transfer from your hotel to Peradeniya rail station, for a scenic train from Peradeniya to Ella.

DAY 07: ELLA – NUWARA ELIYA
After a delicious breakfast, Check-out from the hotel and travel to Nuwara Eliya.
Visit Tea Factory in Nuwara Eliya.
Surrounded by lush green tea plantations, the tea factory offers a range of activities from walking through the lush green tea plantations, picking tea, learning the tea production process, to tasting your own cup at the end to complete the tea journey.
Ramboda Falls
Ramboda Ella Falls is a stunning waterfall that is 358 feet high – the 11th highest waterfall in the country, and 729th in the world. It is located in the Pussellawa region just by the Ramboda Bridge after the Ramboda Tunnel when travelling from Peradeniya, Kandy. The Ramboda Ella Falls are formed by the Panna Oya River which is a tributary of the Kothmale Oya. Ramboda Ella consists of three divisions which are carved into the face of the cliff of a rock which is beautiful to see. The scenery around the waterfall is eye catching with lush greenery and tea plantations. From the A5 highway just above the bridge, you can get a great view of the middle section of the falls. From the main road, closer to the entrance of the tunnel, you can get a side view of the bottom section of the falls. Just before the Ramboda Bridge, there is a pathway which leads to a lookout point which gives a spectacular view of the most impressive part of the waterfall.

Lake Gregory sometimes also called Gregory Lake or Gregory Reservoir, is a reservoir in heart of the tea country hill city, Nuwara Eliya, Sri Lanka. Lake Gregory was constructed during the period of British Governor Sir William Gregory in 1873. The lake and the surrounding area make up the Gregory Lake Area.

DAY 08: NUWARA ELIYA
After a delicious breakfast Visit to Seetha Amman Temple.
Sita Amman temple is the only Hindu Temple which dedicated to Princess Sita in Sri Lanka. This is one of the important Ramayana related places of Sri Lanka. Sita Amman Temple is located in Nuwara Eliya. Sita Eliya area (10 Min drive from Nuwara Eliya Town) close to Ashoka Vatika (This Ashoka Vatika has converted as a Hakgala Botanic Gardens Sri Lank). Sita Amman temple is one of the important Sri Lanka Ramayana Sites Which we can find when travelling along the Ramayana Trail Tour Sri Lanka from Kandy towards Ella via Nuwara Eliya.

DAY 09: NUWARA ELIYA – BENTOTA
After delicious breakfast, check out from the hotel travel to Bentota
After a fantastic journey through the coconut palms, mountains, and waterfalls, you will finally arrive at the world-famous beachside of Sri Lanka. Bentota is a delightful sandy beach that was a well-kept secret in the past, but now few restaurants and pubs are opening up to visitors. It’s a magnificent place characterized by white sands and coconut palms growing right from the edge of the sea as if in imitation of a postcard of a perfect tropical beach.
Leave for a river cruise along the Madu Ganga (Optional)
The estuary of the Madu Ganga River is a complex coastal ecosystem of mangroves and islands. It may be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.
The boat trip is a wonderful way of seeing some of the hundreds of species of plants and animals – monkeys eat fruit in the trees, a water monitor lizard glides slowly through the water, and cormorants, egrets and kingfishers wait patiently on the banks, eyeing the water for prey. There are around 64 islands in the river and lagoon, from a tiny speck housing a deserted shrine to one housing 250 families connected to the mainland with a very long footbridge. The main occupations of the local inhabitants are producing cinnamon and prawn fishing
Turtle hatchery Farm (Optional)
The Turtle Hatchery Project at Bentota Beach is another important attraction. Up to five endangered species of turtles have been frequenting a stretch on this undisturbed beach for a long time now. The turtles are allowed to hatch and thrive in a protected area before being set free.
