CHENNAI – KANYAKUMARI (CAPE COMORIN) –KUDANKULAM NUCLEAR POWER CORPORATION INDIA LTD – KANYAKUMARI – CHENNAI / 3 NIGHTS/4 DAYS

(11th and 12th students are only allowed to visit the plant. All students and teachers must carry Aadhar Card and school ID. ONE DAY ONE BATCH OF 65 Students and Teachers only allowed. Visiting hours from 0930 hours to 1600 hours.)

DAY 01: CHENNAI – KANYAKUMARI (Overnight journey)
Departure by KANYAKUMARI EXPRESS (TRAIN NO.12633) at 1720 hours from Chennai Egmore Railway station. Overnight journey (NO DINNER WILL BE GIVEN).
DAY 02: IN KANYAKUMARI (Overnight Stay)
Arrive Kanyakumari railway station around 0545 hours. On arrival, just 5 minutes’ walk to reach the hotel. Check-in HOTEL SINGAAR INTERNATIONAL (3*** Category, Air-Conditioned Rooms), KANYAKUMARI. (FOR EARLY CHECK-IN PURPOSE, WE WILL ALWAYS HOLD 2 NIGHTS HOTEL STAY INSTEAD OF 1 NIGHT TO ENABLE US TO CHECK IN ON ARRIVAL, OTHERWISE, WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE TOUR ITINERARY). Breakfast at the hotel around 0800 hrs, after your breakfast around 0900 hrs, proceed to visit by 54-seater non-A.C. coach to VIVEKANANDER ROCK AND THIRUVALLUVAR STATUE BY FERRI (Visit by POOMPUHAR SHIPPING CORPORATION FERRI), and after that, visit KUMARI AMMAN TEMPLE. Around 1300 hrs return to the hotel for Lunch. After your Lunch around 1430 hrs proceed to visit GANDHI MANDAPAM, KAMARAJAR MEMORIAL, CAPE COMORIN BEACH. Around 1700 hrs we will take you to SUN SET POINT by coach and after viewing the sunset will proceed to the SUCHINDRAM TEMPLE. After temple visit return to the hotel and if time permits, we will give you a hall for arranging the evening event by the students. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 03: CAPE – KUDANKULAM NUCLEAR POWER PLANT – CAPE (ONJ)
EARLY MORNING AT 0500 HRS, PLEASE ASSEMBLE (ALL STUDENTS AND TEACHERS) AT SEVENTH FLOOR (7th floor) OF THE HOTEL HALL TO VIEW SUNRISE. Check out the hotel around 0700 hrs and keep your baggages in your coach. Breakfast start at the hotel from 0700 to 0800 hrs and after your breakfast around 0830 hrs board your coach and proceed to visit KUDANKULAM NUCLEAR POWER PLANT (27 kms distance from the hotel)-SUNDAY CLOSED (Nuclear power plants are a type of power plant that use the process of nuclear fission in order to generate electricity. They do this by using nuclear reactors in combination with the Rankine cycle, where the heat generated by the reactor converts water into steam, which spins a turbine and a generator. Nuclear fission generates far more energy than fossil fuel combustion such as coal, oil, or gas. The process produces almost 8,000 times more power than typical fossil fuels, resulting in less material used and causing less waste). LUNCH AT THE POWER PLANT CANTEEN. Visit will be over by 1600 hours. After your visit, board your coach to proceed to Kanyakumari railway station to board your train to Chennai. Departure by KANYAKUMARI EXP (Train No.12634) at 1745 hrs from Kanyakumari to Chennai (Veg. packed dinner will be given at Tirunelveli Jn) Overnight journey.
DAY 04: ARRIVE CHENNAI
Arrive at Chennai Egmore railway station around 0610 hrs.
